Of Portal 2's many Easter eggs, “Exile, Vilify,” a new track from indie darlings The National was one of the most surprising. While the band's music videos tend to be directed by family, friends or underground filmmakers, “Exile, Vilify” has no clip to put the video in the band’s upcoming music video, so why don't you make one? Seriously, get on it. You could win a guitar from the band and a bunch of Valve loot.
It's not like Portal fans need to be asked twice to get creative with their appreciation. The original game's seen fan-interpretations in pretty much any medium one could name, fueled only by pure love for the first-person puzzler. The only difference here is that there's actually an incentive this time. Put together the winning video and you'll get an Eastwood guitar signed by the band, a boxful of Valve knickknacks, and shirts by Jinx. You can film your own video, cobble stuff together in-game, find some footage of the band, or whatever you feel is appropriate. Then, cut it down, upload it to YouTube and tag it with “Portal2NationalExile.” Head over to Valve's contest site for further details.
