In case you haven’t heard, today is the day that Sonic the Hedgehog turns 20. It’s been a long time since Sega’s answer to Mario first arrived in 1991. So to celebrate 20 years of dashing, Sega has announced the release of the Sonic 20th Anniversary Bundle on the PlayStation Store. The bundle includes the original Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic 2, Sonic Adventure, and Sonic 4: Episode 1. In addition, the bundle will come packed with a new theme inspired by the world of Sonic 4.
According to the European PlayStation Blog, the bundle will be available for 20 days and represents a 50% saving against buying each of these titles individually. The price for the bundle will be £13.99, €17.99, or AU$27.95 depending on your territory.
Can’t get the bundle? If you’ve got a case of Sonic sadness, perhaps you can take solace with a free download of the Sonic Generations demo on PSN and Xbox Live, which will also be available for the next 20 days. The demo will take you on a tour through the Green Hill stage and if you’re all about experiencing games in the third dimension, it will also be playable in stereoscopic 3D.
