Obviously Nintendo’s top priorities at E3 2011 were to introduce the Wii U to players and to showcase future 3DS software, leaving little time for more news other than detailing Zelda’s 25th anniversary. A casual observer might have been led to believe that the DS and Wii are now dead and buried, but that’s far from the case. At Nintendo’s E3 booth the company had tons of space devoted to games that were barely hinted at during the press conference.
After looking at what very well could be the last DS and Wii games Nintendo will ever have playable at E3, it dawned on us that many games weren’t getting all the exposure they could. Sure, none of the releases looked on the level of a AAA title like Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, but most deserved a second glance.
