Vator Splash LA is one week away

VSLAIn one week, Vator will be holding its inaugural Splash LA, an evening event that will be held on May 26, at The Highlands Hollywood. As always, the event will feature 10 promising young high-tech startups to present onstage in front of prominent investors, fellow entrepreneurs and high-tech influencers.

There?s still time to get tickets using the VentureBeat discount. Click here and use your VentureBeat discount code “VB25″ to get 25% off the ticket prices (which go up next week).

Attendees will also get a chance to hear two amazing entrepreneurs, who will share their nuggets of wisdom about entrepreneurship. Demand Media founder and SVP of Mergers and Acquisitions, Shawn Colo, will talk about lessons building Demand from its start in 2006 to its IPO in 2011. He’ll also talk about the future of digital media. Zorik Gordon, founder and CEO of ReachLocal, will share his lessons building his company to an IPO in six years. ReachLocal went public in 2010. Zorik will also talk about his views on the future of the very hot e-commerce and daily deal space.

Given the changing dynamics in early-stage investing, Splash LA will also have its VC roundtable.

A panel of early-stage investors from top-notch LA firms ? Neal Hansch (Rustic Canyon), Larry Marcus (Walden Venture Capital), David Cremin (DFJ Frontier) – will take a look at how early-stage funding is evolving, and how the emergence of super angels are helping to change it. The super angels are emerging not only as startup creation is transforming, particularly for consumer Internet companies, but as the number of VC firms is shrinking. Our moderator will be Bruce Taragin, partner at Blumberg.

Also joining our lineup of panelists to provide insight and feedback to the presenting companies are Jed Katz of Javelin Venture Partners, David Carlick of Rho Capital Partners, Dana Settle of Greycroft, Kara Nortman of IAC’s CityGrid, Zao Yang of Betterworks, Brian Garrett of Crosscut Ventures, Samit Varma of Anthem Venture Partners, David Travers of Rustic, David Lee of Mission Ventures, and more.

Finally, you won?t want to miss the after-party performance by Darwin5, starring Walden’s Larry Marcus and DFJ’s David Cremin.

Once again, the best deal comes in the demo table packages, which are still available. Click here and use your VentureBeat discount code ?VB25? to get 25% off.
